Toy Trains

How do I remove the sand from the ends of the magnetic train my children's toy?
My son had set out its magnetic toy timber and put in the sandbox. Now, the magnets are covered with sand, and do not hold together in a chain of more. I pushed both the sand which can, but is there anything else I can do to get the sand. Thanks for your help.
Each train we add to our collection is cleaned and repaired to condition operation before it is placed in a design or a shelf. To remove the sand or debris out of magnets of a simple method would be to use the feature … Only have to put tape over the magnet and the shell of sand on the tape will … If there is a pile of sand or if the magnets are too small and in a precarious place … I use the rubber cement … just put the rubber cement completely on the magnet and allow to dry … when it has dried can detach and some or all waste will run with it. Never use a wire brush – it can damage the MAGNET Remember to test and practice of cleaning solutions before applying …. First we remove the deposits, if they are very dirty or stained, washed with soap and warm water. Important: never wash lightly colored (aluminum, white, cream, etc. ..) Items manufactured between 1935 and 1956 in the water, you can remove the paint. For lightly colored items use a damp cloth and rub the dirt. Do not put soap on the train to cause spotting. Put the soap in the water. Always remember the test. I may seem to be working here, but I have seen many trains damaged ignored because this step. Also, do not use any cleaning, like 409, Windex, etc. – to change the color of many items, especially letters. After wetting the light rail scrub with a brush very gently smooth around the letters. Remember you do not want to remove the dirt from the paint. Rinse under cold running water. Then shake and Pat all the water you can walk away. Air dry. While the train is drying up the motorcar repair if necessary. After the train is dry examine for stains. If there are small patches, can be removed by capitalization. Use a soft cloth (an old flannel shirt works great, just make sure it is clean. We use disposable rags) and an agent of the capitalization of light cutting. 3M Glass Light Duty and compounds (part # 051144-05935) which is available at auto paint stores is great. Work not by chemical action by the abrasive. Do not use Turtle Wax or other cheaper brands are too abrasive and will destroy the finish very soon. No items lithographed compound. The ink is very thin and is quickly removed. Gently rub the stained areas with a cloth, put the compound on the rag. For small areas a Q-tip good works. After spot eliminating waste should be buffed away with a new cloth. Now the train can be waxed. The best wax for toy trains is liquid furniture wax. The brand we use is the power of Howard and wax. You can find this in the antique shops. This wax is a mixture of orange oil, beeswax and Carruba in a petroleum base. Do not use the turtle wax or any other paste wax. Paste wax leaves white residues on the difficult areas buff. As an aside, if you train with this waste can be removed with a little wax Howard in a Q-tip. I use a disposable foam brush tip to apply the wax and then wipe off excess with a clean cloth. The entire train then buffed with a large horsehair shoe brush. After the shell is waxing and buffing any crop failure and is replaced after the train is reassembled. Now, the train only require periodic lubrication and dust to keep it running and looking great. We train our dust porcelain soft bristle paint brushes. For larger items in the designs, use an empty container with a soft brush. This is just one method ….. for trains to pick up this honor can be a time …. achievement, but this can also be used for the Thomas the Tank and friends of the sets that have become popular in recent years .. Here is a link that discusses the different methods – from street cleaning engine lube to grease the wheels .. http://www.toytrains.info/ttmltopics.asp?a=m Did you know that H / O scale trains have been used to highlight the outdoor gardens? is .. true **
